Last season on Agent Carter: A year after the events of Captain America: First Avenger, Captain America’s former flame Peggy Carter struggled to find her place in the Strategic Scientific Reserve (which would eventually become S.H.I.E.L.D.), and being a woman in the spy field in the late 1940’s. After being tired of being considered nothing more but a glorified secretary by her male peers, Peggy takes control of her situation and conducts her own investigation of her old ally, Howard Stark (the father of Iron Man) possibly selling weapons to America’s enemies. Of course, he’s wasn’t, and it was all a conspiracy. Alongside Stark’s faithful butler (and Tony’s future caretaker) Jarvis, Carter uncovers a devious plot that gives her her first real arch-nemesis, Russian spy and Red Room product (the same program that would eventually train future Black Widow, Natasha Romanov), Dottie Underwood. “I’m Unbreakable.” That was what did it for me. I’m probably the biggest Luke Cage fan that I know, ever since reading my older brother’s Power Man And Iron Fist comics back when...well, before I could even read...I’ve always thought that these two superheroes could be phenomenal in live action, be it TV or movies. Previously on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – Questions were answered!! Well, some of them. Jemma Simmons’ time stranded on the “mysterious blue planet” was revealed, and well, we now know the reason she needs to return is to go back for Will, a ruggedly dashing astronaut sent by NASA (who had the monolith before S.H.I.E.L.D.) that had been stranded there since 2001. Of course, being stranded together for months on end...stuff happened and even after hearing all of this, Fitz STILL agreed to help go back for him. What a guy! Right? I wouldn’t be so nice, that’s for sure. Let that guy get eaten by some alien squid monster! Read more...

“What is the one super power you wish you could have?” is probably a question I have been asked a million times. It’s maybe the most asked question that people ask someone who spends their life surrounded by superhero comics, movies, etc. Well, I personally say telekinesis, because when you can move things with your mind, you can do most of the things other powers allow you to do (also, you never have problems reaching anything or asking someone to get something for you ever again in your life...something I would love). But I think most peoples’ answer is “to fly”, right? Read more...

Well, the new TV season is on the horizon, and we are all clamoring for new episodes of our favorite comic book adapted shows like Gotham, Arrow, The Flash and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., we even have some new shows joining the mix like Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow! But will this trend of “Cape TV” continue, or will the fickle masses start to get tired of superheroes running prime time? What can we do to spice things up? Well, the one TV trend that seems to still get millions of viewers seems to be REALITY TV! Hmmmmmm, this got me thinking. Read more...

A year ago, I got a DVD copy of the 2014 Marvel Studios-produced science-fiction film Guardians of the Galaxy as a Christmas present, and yes, it was one hell of a ride. No doubt that Marvel Universe mercenary-type character Rocket Raccoon was part of the movie's awesomeness. Read more...

There’s nothing better than having a faithful furry companion, is there?! We all love our pets to the point of loading up all of our social media accounts with cute pictures of them, and some of us even give our pets their OWN accounts (although it could be a bit crushing when your puppy gets more followers than you)! Of course even our beloved comic book superheroes have pets as well...and some of them are just as badass at fighting crime and beloved by fans as their owners! Read more...
