MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. - "I Will Face My Enemy" - While on a mission to learn more about the secrets of the mysterious writing, Coulson finds himself attacked by the only person he can trust: Agent Melinda May. Meanwhile, the rest of the team is trapped in an explosive situation, and it's up to Fitz to save them -- but is he up to it? "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." airs TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. (ABC/Kelsey McNeal)CLARK GREGG, MING-NA WENSometimes a show about secret agents should be just that...a show about secret agents, regardless of the show being set in the world of Asgardian warriors and gamma irradiated rage monsters. And Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode 2.4, like it or not, delivered just that. In their search for the secrets of the Obelisk, Director Coulson and Agent May infiltrated a charity event disguised as a rich socialite couple. Along the way, they encounter that pesky General Talbot and more unexpected trouble from Hydra. This episode was surprisingly refreshing and provided lots of tongue-in-cheek humor from May and Coulson, great martial arts action, and some cool twists involving the same digital mask tech that Black Widow used in Captain America: Winter Soldier.  Read more...

OS coverIt's October, the spookiest month of the year and the harbinger of the winter season to come. There is a change in the wind when October rolls around. Some say the wind switches from the east to the west, but I have never noticed that. Some say it's because it is the spookiest month of the year, but if you watch the news they are all pretty scary now. For me it is the southern winds have been replaced for the winds coming down out of Canada, the cooler days followed by the even colder nights. No matter what it might be, it is a change and for comic books it is the same. Big changes occurred in September and it even meant a new King of Comics. It has been a long time since I was truly surprised, and this months numbers did just that. Enough of this, lets get to it. Read more...

buckySince he began working with Marvel a couple of years ago, rising comic book artist Marco Rudy has brought his brand of eclectic, unique artwork to such titles as Avengers, New Avengers, Marvel Knights: Spider-Man and Uncanny X-Men, but he’s never taken the art duties on a comic like Bucky Barnes, Winter Soldier, a series that spins directly out of a huge Marvel event, Original Sin, and stars a cult Marvel anti-hero that just got his big Marvel movie debut in Captain America: Winter Soldier. Marco will be teamed with another rising star in the comics biz, Zero, Change and Wild Children writer Ales Kot on Winter Soldier, I got a chance to chat to Marco at Montreal ComicCon and talk about his chance to reinvent Cap’s old buddy turned cyber-powered badass! 3697076-wolverine_3_months_to_die_logo Wolverine is a character that has been around for forty years, debuting in Incredible Hulk #171 taking on both Hulk and Wendigo. Soon after, that scrappy little Canadian mutant would find his way into the super team The X-Men in Giant Sized X-Men, which sort of rebooted the team and really set the tone for the series for years to come. Wolverine, all 5’3 of him, became the breakout star on the team with his antisocial attitude and indestructible adamantium claws and skeleton. This led to him getting his own series and being overused throughout the 90s and 2000s. Now, with 3 Months To Die, we may finally see this fascinating character come to an end. Read more...

And ENR, eXpertComics, Hype Energy and Heroes of the North all teamed up to celebrate the festivities (with the ultra-talented DJ Vertigo providing the tunes and making our super-booth the spot to hang out at!). We'd like to first and foremost thank everyone that stopped by to join the party! But as always, I gotta start this year's coverage with the cosplay parade! 76058-158300-mary-jane_superSo, here we are! I’ve let you wait an ENTIRE week and it’s finally here! Part 2 of my ultra-super list of the single panels that speak a thousand words! The entries #20 to 11 had so many classic panels from Superman getting kissed in the face to getting punched in it! And from Cyclops killing the man who pretty much raised him to Wolverine getting ripped in two! Can you believe there are ten more that are even better than that?! If you missed Part 1 or need a refresher, here it is. Notice that Part 1 contained absolutely ZERO panels from Spider-Man comics? That’s weird! Read more...
