After a few weeks of clips being released, we are finally treated to the OFFICIAL trailer for WB Animation's adaptation of the Alan Moore classic graphic novel, The Killing Joke! Known as one of the greatest and shocking Batman vs. Joker stories ever, it seems DC has not held back one bit with putting together an R-rated adult adaptation to Moore's tale, which was the story that not only told what most people feel is the definitive Joker origin story, but in which The Joker violently assaults Commissioner Jim Gordon and his daughter, the former Batgirl, Barbara. We are fast approaching the climax of the 2015-2016 seasons of the DC Television Universe with only a few episodes of Gotham, Arrow, Lucifer, The Flash, iZombie, Legends of Tomorrow and only one left of the new smash Supergirl. While everyone in fandom has favorite characters from DC Comics, each wing of the DCTVU has a unique feel and a distinct voice. Since being your weekly episodic guide through three shows this season (Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash) I thought it would be fun to try once again to play armchair executive and make some perfect fits for each. And this week our favorite shows are leading up to Halloween, so it's only fitting that we add the new NBC horror/thrillfest, Constantine to the fold! This week Gordon and the GCPD meet a haunting, masked foe on Gotham, The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. get framed, Felicity Smoak visits her old flame, Barry Allen on Flash, and over on Walking Dead we may finally find out who took poor Beth! 5446ce1dc7051The TV season is in full swing! And there has NEVER been more amazing superhero and comic book adapted TV shows! From Gotham to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to Arrow, we have just been bombarded with tons of heroes on TV. But there are probably some people out there looking for some great trades and graphic novels to pick up to enhance their TV watching experience (not to mention, catch all of those easter eggs that come up in every show! Oh, yes...there have been many!). Not to worry, The Bleeder King's gotcha covered. I've comprised a list of the most important trades from each show that you really should have on your shelf (if you don't already)! Hey, it's only the biggest show on TV, AND based on a hit comic book as well! Now that's a great use of BRAAAAAINNNNSS! This week we also have Detective Gordon dealing with a very unexpected visitor, Coulson and May dealing with laser grids and The Flash dealing with his chilly arch-nemesis! That's right, following the success of prime time dramas adapted from the pages of comics, Fox will now get into the act with Gotham, a band new show based on the origins of Batman, his allies and rogues gallery. Starring Ben McKenzie and Donal Logue as younger versions of GCPD detectives Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock, the show will also feature David Mazouz (young Bruce Wayne), Sean Pertwee (Alfred Pennyworth), Robin Lord Taylor (Penguin), Camren Bicondova (Young Selina Kyle/Catwoman), Cory Michael Smith (Riddler), Zabryna Guevera (Sarah Essen) and Jada Pinkett-Smith as Fish Mooney, a crime boss that is seemingly new character to Batman lore.
