We are fast approaching the climax of the 2015-2016 seasons of the DC Television Universe with only a few episodes of Gotham, Arrow, Lucifer, The Flash, iZombie, Legends of Tomorrow and only one left of the new smash Supergirl. While everyone in fandom has favorite characters from DC Comics, each wing of the DCTVU has a unique feel and a distinct voice. Since being your weekly episodic guide through three shows this season (Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash) I thought it would be fun to try once again to play armchair executive and make some perfect fits for each. d9Welcome, eXPress Legions to the counterpart to my 5 Disney Properties That Need To Be Movies column, Marvel of course included. Tit for tat, both sides of the coin I always try to be as fair as I can so it seems natural we do this one too. Time Warner, the parent company for Warner Brothers and DC Comics haves so many rights in so many fields to so many different properties there was the fortune of many to choose from -  however there is SO many that it also made it incredibly difficult. After watching an advance copy of Son of Batman I decided I couldn’t review it spoiler free so I went to work on the properties list. So let’s get this monkey smoking… So when I compiled this list I tried to stick to a few things that would ensure the success of these properties as films, how they would most likely be adapted, whether a large audience would be viable I also wanted to not focus too heavily in one area, dividing it up among the different licenses genres and styles. Mighty_Avengers_Infinity_Earth-616_001What makes a great superhero team? There can be many factors that come into play. Great characters with personalities that mesh together in various situations is a start. Not to say that all characters on the team have to like each other (some conflict is good), but when the chips are down they have to get it together to take down the bad guys and save the city, world or universe. The costumes don’t have to match, they don’t all have to be the same type of hero, but the one thing they have to be is a unit. Everyone knows The Avengers, X-Men and The Justice League...but there are many superhero teams that came along that I personally loved to read about. What can I say? I’m just a fan of teamwork!
