Previously on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Saddest episode ever (it’s best to read that imagining Comic Book Guy from The Simpson’s voice in your head)! After tracking Malick to Siberia to investigate an Inhuman prison camp they are planning to build, Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter discovered they were already imprisoning an Inhuman at this facility. They soon found out that this prisoner was a newly Inhuman Russian general who found out about these plans and had gone rogue, with plans to murder the Russian prime minister. His name is Androvich and was an old Marvel villain named Iron Curtain, who had the powers in the MCU as a fellow Russian baddie, Darkstar, who had the power to manipulate Dark Matter (a substance we learned about in the Agent Carter TV series this season), and control a shadowlike clone of herself to do her bidding. Previously on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Coulson was forced to team with the one non-Hydra guy he hates more than Loki...and Loki KILLED him that one time, Glenn Talbot. Talbot was named the figurehead of his ATCU anti-alien division, while Coulson was the real one in charge. Read more...

Previously on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Ward is back! Nah, not really. His dead body has been possessed by an exiled Inhuman named Hive from the blue planet (known to be called Maveth). Now in the custody (or staying as a house guest actually) of Hydra, Hive is now eating raw meat like a zombie and has the ability to shoot spores of some kind at people. But he’s fun at parties, I imagine! Read more...

Well, NOW are we excited? Those of us in the “geek community” got a huge reveal this week as we FINALLY got a peep at Tom Holland as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man this week! And while there was a bit of the inevitable negativity among some (mostly about the slight changes to Spidey’s classic costume), generally people everywhere are excited for this movie and to see the wall-crawler back home! Previously in the first half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3: Coulson continued to operate S.H.I.E.L.D. in secret and the team got to tracking down new Inhumans that recently underwent Terrigenisis by consuming fish and fish oil supplements because a substantial amount of Terrigen infected the ecosystem. At the same time, President Ellis instated a publicized agency called the ATCU as a response team to the inhuman “epidemic”, headed by a woman name Rosalind Price. As we learned more about Price and her agency, a new dangerous Inhuman called Lash was discovered to be murdering his own kind. Not trusting Price at first, Coulson eventually felt drawn to Price and the two eventually came to an understanding about how to handle the Inhuman problem, much to the dismay of Daisy “Skye” Johnson...and my own stomach. I was not a fan of the woman. Turns out Lash was none other than Agent May’s ex husband and S.H.I.E.L.D. ally, Andrew Garner. Read more...

I just this week finished the final chapter of Marvel’s Secret Wars event, which ended an era for the Marvel Universe and opened a new one, an ALL-NEW ALL DIFFERENT one. I’m a lifelong Marvel Comics reader...and no matter what they do to their characters and stories, I’m going to remain that way. After all is said and done, I’m a lifer. And boy, are things different than just 10 years ago. Some good changes, some bad ones...but evolution has always been a key element to Marvel and its characters.  Change isn’t a bad thing. But now, in the Marvel Movie Era, the movies now impact those changes. Read more...

Last season on Agent Carter: A year after the events of Captain America: First Avenger, Captain America’s former flame Peggy Carter struggled to find her place in the Strategic Scientific Reserve (which would eventually become S.H.I.E.L.D.), and being a woman in the spy field in the late 1940’s. After being tired of being considered nothing more but a glorified secretary by her male peers, Peggy takes control of her situation and conducts her own investigation of her old ally, Howard Stark (the father of Iron Man) possibly selling weapons to America’s enemies. Of course, he’s wasn’t, and it was all a conspiracy. Alongside Stark’s faithful butler (and Tony’s future caretaker) Jarvis, Carter uncovers a devious plot that gives her her first real arch-nemesis, Russian spy and Red Room product (the same program that would eventually train future Black Widow, Natasha Romanov), Dottie Underwood.
