Last time's episode of Arrow was an episode full of tragedy and terror for the most part, and here is a recap in case you missed it. Ra's As Ghul's plot to get Oliver Queen/Arrow to accept his offer to make him the next head of the leagues of Assassins continued on as Maseo killed the Starling City mayor, serving as one of the league's Arrow impersonators, and Ray Palmer, without his A.T.O.M. suit, was unfortunately among the wounded, though he managed to avoid death in the hospital thanks to Felicity Smoak as well as her mother, managed to create a diversion to prevent the doctors from stopping Felicity from saving Ray's life with his experimental nanobots.   As for Oliver and the rest of Team Arrow, they, unlike Ray himself, faced tragedy and terror for the whole episode without any happy ending; Captain Quentin Lance and the SCPD spent the whole episode tormenting them with chases all around the Starling City with no safe place for Team Arrow to hide, not even in the Arrow cave, and once the police captain himself learned the secret identity of the Arrow from Ra's Al Ghul, who never spoke a word to him about his true plot, the whole town became against Team Arrow, leading to Oliver's decision to surrender himself to the police in hope of foiling Ra's' plan to continue framing him. However, in an unexpected turn of events, Roy Harper/Arsenal allowed himself to get arrested by the Starling City police after he lied that he was Arrow in hope of saving Oliver from facing jail time. That was last week's episode, and now we focus our attention to this week's tragic episode "Broken Arrow". Before I talk about this week's episode of Arrow, here is a recap on last time's. John Diggle married Lyla a second, only for their attempt to start their honeymoon to suffer interruption as they got drafted back into the Suicide Squad for an assignment to rescue United States Senator Clay from kidnapping circumstances. Once the team arrived at the scene of the crime, they discovered that Clay was a crook who faked his own kidnapping to help his presidential campaign while endangering the real hostages. Fortunately, the Suicide Squad managed to save the hostages, only for team member Floyd Lawton/Deadshot to die in the explosion of he building where the crime took place. Meanwhile, Ra's Al Ghul continued on with his attempt to tempt Oliver Queen into accepting his offer to make him the next head of the League of Assassins by recruiting Arrow impersonators to kill innocent people, leading Captain Quentin Lance of the Starling City Police Department to launch a man hunt for the archer super-hero himself with Ray Palmer/The Atom offering to do his part in capturing him. Good news: Oliver proved his innocence to Ray by refusing to kill him after Ray learned of his double life. Read more...

Montrealers are about to get another dose of extreme geektastical awesomeness this summer! Our own "Bleeder King", Dave Michaels went to the big MCC 2015 press conference and brought back some very juicy announcements! MCC spokesman, radio DJ, rockstar and friend to eXpertComics, Jason Rockman, hosted the event along with Montreal mayor (and self professed fanboy), Denis Coderre. Mayor Coderre said he was happy to visit the convention last year and cannot wait for this year's event. Leading the pack of celeb guests is Aquaman in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, Jason Mamoa! Jason was one of the guests in 2013, and loved it so much, he's back to visit his MTL fans! Read more...

In case you missed last time's episode of Arrow, here is a recap for you. Oliver Queen/Arrow and John Diggle managed to bring Malcolm Merlyn back to Starling City from Nanda Parbat alive after Oliver refused Ra's Al Ghul's offer to name him the next head of the League of Assassins. Unfortunately, Oliver started to wonder if his refusing to accept the offer was a bad decision when the League of Assassins leader's prediction of  the Arrow's tragic fate started to come true, especially with the part where Captain Quentin Lance of the Starling City Police Department ended up cutting ties with the Archer super-hero himself out of bitterness over his daughter Laurel's and the Arrow's decision to hide the truth about Laurel's sister Sara Lance's death from him. Arrow the Offer Shot 3 In case you missed last time's episode of Arrow, here is a recap. Remember when Oliver and Thea Queen almost got killed by Slade Wilson? Well, Thea's bitterness over her father Malcolm Merlyn's nearly getting her killed as well as his drugging her (which caused her to kill Sara Lance) drove her to get him kidnapped by the League of Assassins. Good news: Team Arrow managed to take League of Assassins leader Ra's Al Ghul's daughter Nyssa as prisoner. Bad news: Thea started to suffer pains of guilt, and although Oliver and Diggle went to Nanda Parbat to rescue Malcolm from assassination by Ra's' army (hoping to save Thea from having to face the pain getting someone of her own family blood killed), Thea's pains got even worse, leading her to free Nyssa from her prison in the hope of the assassin executing her for killing Sara, even though it was not her fault. As for Oliver and Diggle, they got captured by the League of Assassins and placed in captivity. Now, we look at this week's Arrow adventure, "The Offer", but be warned as spoilers are contained in this commentary. Read more...

izombieSo I decided to give the new CW show, iZombie a shot. It is based on the  award winning Vertigo title of the same name created by Chris Roberson and Mike Allred. I wasn't expecting too much, since the only CW shows I'm interested in are Arrow and The Flash, and this wasn't exactly the same sort of deal. It isn't based on a legendary DC Comics superhero and I have never even read an IZombie issue. And I must say, this show is a VERY pleasant surprise! It shows a lot of promise and for all of you that are looking for a quirky spin on the zombie dynamic, this show is EXACTLY for you! Read more...

Nanda ParbatLast time on Arrow was one hell of a time of terror. As Oliver Queen/Arrow and his half-sister Thea were visiting the island Oliver was stranded on during his years before becoming the Hood, they were going through what was meant to be a test to determine if they could overcome their fears in time to be prepared for when they and Malcolm Merlyn face League of Assassins leader Ra' Al Ghul. Unfortunately, things would prove to be more dangerous than expected when they ended up becoming targets of Slade Wilson (also known as "Deathstroke"), whom Oliver had not seen since their fight in Starling City back in the season 2 finale.
