Yet another week of a Postal Strike eXpertFans! It seems that Canada Post has little love for comic collectors and is testing the patience of many of you waiting for your orders. So in what now has become somewhat of a weekly Crown Corporation gossip column, here’s the usual news…(I wonder how boring this Newsletter will be when this strike’s over. Maybe Marvel will decide that all characters will age in actual years since conception giving the world the greatest band of senior citizen superheros bingo halls have ever seen. That would be newsworthy! Oh, sorry, just the mind wandering…)
Episode XIII: The Postal Menace – Update on the update of the update on the Canada Post strike turned lock-out: Back to work legislation is 99 and 44/100% close to being tabled. What does that mean to superhero addicts? It means that in all likelihood postal service will resume sometime next week and we’ll have to rent a truck to get all these orders out. Yay! Should the strike persist we may contact the marketing department at DC so that they come up with some kind of reboot/relaunch of the Canadian Postal service. (…just had to throw that in there)
In other news the comic book world lost a legend today so we’d like to honor the contribution of Gene Colan. Our friends at Hypergeek.ca have done a wonderful job of covering this comic book legend here.
